Transportation for Regattas

For local regattas (held at the Dammrich Rowing Center and Chicago locations), each crew member is responsible for arranging his/her own transportation to and from the regatta.

For away regattas (held at greater distances), transportation is arranged by bus or parent carpooling. The crew members depart from and return to Loyola Academy. Crew members are not permitted to drive themselves to away regattas.

On occasion, there will be regattas that require air transportation. In those cases, group flight information and meeting times will be distributed to parents and rowers well ahead of scheduled departure. Please note that additional chaperones are often required for out of town trips. Additionally, rowers will be required to adhere to a travel uniform which their coaches will determine prior to departure.

At all times during travel to regattas near and far, Loyola Academy rowers are expected to adhere to the LA Athletic code of conduct and to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects favorably on each individual as a person, a rower and a student at Loyola Academy.
