IMPORTANT
REGATTA INFORMATION
|
|

Each season
LARA participates in a number of weekend regattas or races. At the
regattas other high school rowing teams, as well as college and
master teams, compete. Regattas are conducted according to the US
Rowing Rules of Racing or Midwest Scholastic Rowing Association,
with rules and regulations specific to local crew programs established
by the sponsoring clubs or associations. They are an important part
of our crew experience and establish our race excellence by which
we are judged as a team.
In the Loyola
Academy tradition, and as we celebrate our 25th year of Loyola Academy
Crew, we acknowledge the importance of rowers, coaches and families
working together towards a common goal. In is with that spirit in
mind that we remind all parents that crew is a sport where everyone
participates to make regattas happen. The LA Rowing team depends
on your support!
Parent volunteers
are needed to organize different aspects of each regatta. Please
click on the Volunteers tab above to learn how
you can contribute. You can also contact the VP of Regattas for
LARA, Meg Largay at mlargay1@yahoo.com.
